It appears that either the voting system or one of the admins/mods has cleared your reputation and removed the spam flags.....

Seems so. Someone was on a roll last night. The spam flags kept popping up, and as fast as I could vote looks OK to clear the flags, the posts were flagged as spam again.

A spammer can have feelings to hurt too.

One still persists, another thread ripened in only a day.

It could be an attempt to hide true spams among false reports: my last reports remained for so long with administrator/moderator (busy?) posting I thought I didn't have to bother any longer, I even had to re-report one thread but it all got cleared (the spam was removed, I mean). Let it go then.

And yes,the Admin/mods can see who reports the spam AFAIK. When I was Admin on a huge motorcycle site when I logged on every morning I'd see a large list of reported spam w the members name who reported it.

I feel confused when reporting a post offers me to confirm I see it as a spam at once: it's me who's just raised it (I did think twice!

I don't think it's a technical problem with admins being able to see who flags as spam... it's a motivation problem.

nazali, when you expose your vulnerability someone can take advantage even unintentionally.

Look at Lady Jane: she liked to post pictures of herself out of some apparent lack of self-confidence (looking for approval), but now that she's gained a huge reputation and blew her enemy to hell she seems to have stopped that.
