I think big cars look better in darker colors - but obviously this is a matter of taste. Go with what your gut tells you.

I think the black gives and nice contrast to the chrome myself, but agree on keeping the paint nice if you're not into being careful how you wash it white is always easier.

Black can look like livery -- but white somehow takes away some of the "7-ness" about it IMHO

I only drove alpine white BMWs since 2006, and when i got the 7 I got it in black. It looks better and not as big looking. I blacked everything so it doesnt look like a livery car. I felt the white with blacked out trim, looked a bit more tacky.

Hmm tough, if it was Msport I would say definitely go white, since its not its a toss up, I would probably say black since the chrome looks better with it.
If you wrapped the chrome on the white I would go white

White coupes and black sedans
I do agree that the white takes away some of the “ 7 Ness”. I will take the chrome on the 7 series and the black exterior . I do like the lighter interior like the Carmel/Cognac/Tartufo interior. I also like the lighter woods like the plum brown individual interior trim.Go elegant on a 7 series, it’s just the right thing to do on a flagship.
On a different car like an M series car I always go alpine white on red/sakhir orange interior. I feel like the red interior gets my heart going and the bright white exterior shows the lines and any carbon fiber accents such as roofs or spoilers. |

Agreed. This is a massive car which appears too long in light colors. Black makes it look more aggressive especially if getting black trim (grill, side gills, shadow line trim etx)
