From a V12 to an I7. Yes Please

I was in a 2020 M760 for three years and was convinced I was making a mistake ordering an i7. I was convinced I was going to miss that engine - it was so great on the highwaya and my fav car of all time. Got my I7 last week (Carbon/Smoke/M). What V12? So totally in my rearview......in less than a day I forgot that car existed. So happy I took the plunge. Drove from Manhattan to Newport and took some backroads with some twisties over the weekend. This thing is a hoot and I've yet to hit he boost button. Oh, THE most comfortable seats ever and the quietest, smoothest ride......heaven so far.

That’s so cool to hear cause that 12 cylinder was sweet and pulled like a train but so does this thing but with Rolls silence and comfort. Smile every time I am in it. Barely even listen to the $4800 B&W cause I’m so impressed with the tranquility of this thing.

Agreed, except I do enjoy my B&W Diamond system on the regular I have to say, it's my only complaint about the i7 ... the B&W Diamond in my iX is a much better system than the i7

I’ll take your word for it. Maybe more room for a bigger sub but I don’t want to listen to it so I stay blissfully ignorant thinking there’s nothing better than my sound. Haha. Same as I dint drive an i7 with active roll bars or it may be very costly!

Same for me! Wow, I love music, but I find most of the time. I just enjoy the silence of the ride. And I have the 760!

I have even grown to love the ASS because it’s whisper silent at a stoplight and I no longer notice the engine restarting.

I’ve never enjoyed the quiet so much.

I realize that I’m a dinosaur. My only experience with BMW was with six 12-cylinder cars back in the late 80’s & 90’s. They were amazing—if not troublesome—cars for their time. These days, much older & wiser, I get most attracted to great ride quality and an exceedingly hushed cabin. The fact that the eDrive60 I just ordered would put all those old V12’s to shame in a quickness competition, is of little interest to me. The unbelievably smooth ride, silent propulsion and ultra quiet interior are just intoxicating. Can’t wait!
