New Lavalina Leather Alpina Steering Wheel (Using a G30 P/N on a G12)

Probably not going to get too much reaction from this group, but....
  1. '18 G12 B7 (60K Miles..motor has been issue free) was showing a bit of wear on the leather (which is OK, but hate "shiney"), but the steering heater temp was under performing

  2. Preferred exact P/N replacement options are very limited as there aren't many Green/Blue stitched Alpina steering wheels other than those from the dealer for +$1800 (improved heating isn't worth this much to me) but option B was)

  3. Option B is used...no! (Grubby and could already have a faulty heating element)

  4. Option C was to try a brand new P/N 634199300 from Europe used on the B5 (G30) for 8x less than the BMW dealership, but was stated to work for G32, G15, G30 as well as the G12, and while I was certain it would bolt to the steering column, I wasn't sure about the wiring harness, switch assembly, and shifters

So after 45 minutes, back in the saddle with a brand new 100% working, 100% compatible, very warm Green/Blue stitched Alpina Steering wheel for $203.65.

There are few things that, when replaced new, make your car feel and drive much better, new tires, and a new steering wheel.

....So to make this a bit applicable to the larger G12 community, the G30 and G12 steering wheels are shared between the two platforms and compatible, as long as they are the same style (e.g. steering wheel heater button mounted on the steering wheel must be replaced with like steering wheel)

I have this OEM B7 G12 LCI wheel for sale with everything, if anyone is interested.
The heater works fine, I replaced with a M Sport wheel, but all up to you.. Its Green Stitch liek yours.
out of my LCI G12. Just an idea, or get a M version with better leather and options from AZA (friends of mine)

...and I've been led to believe that you can code the heater button difference between the pre-LCI and LCI. Price?

Note: pre-LCI G12 heated steering wheel button is on the steering column next to the steering column adjust knob, where on the LCI G12, the heated steering wheel button is located at the 6 O'Clock position on the steering wheel

I was referring to M_Bimmer post where he got a brand new wheel for 200. Mine is far from terrible, but if one can get that wheel (I'd like a standard, non Alpina) so cheap then I wouldn't mind that fresh leather.
