If I'm reading that price list correctly the standard leather in the US for "The 7" is Dakota!? What a piss take, that stuff is about a luxurious as a night in a maximum security prison cell.....

If BMW ever came out and admitted that Dakota leather is actually a "leatherette" then I would 100% believe it. It reminds me of when I was a little kid, my grandparents had a couch cover made of stiff clear plastic so that you could see the couch.... but you were sitting on clear plastic/vinyl. It's the exact opposite of luxury.

Your opinion. I disagree. Center console looks great and is extremely functional. You don't like it, you don't buy it, is a good rule.
