Omfg, at least one person here with some damn sense! I don't get the love either, never have, never will. There are tons of them flooding my neighborhood and more than a few in the family; no interest in being seen behind the wheel of one, but from being driven around in them, I am seriously unimpressed.

The exterior is ugly and that interior is so hideous it literally makes me laugh. Honestly, hand on a bible, swearing on my life and the lives of my unborn children, if I were looking for full sized luxury, based on looks I would seriously take a K900 over an s, ANYDAY. And based on performance, tech, and luxury, I'd take a 7 series, EVERYDAY.

I don't find the new 7-series interior nice.

But I don't see how this is any better. All the circular vent is making my head spin.

The car drops 200KG.
Thats on paper. And helium fill tires. Much like mpg in the end it will drop maybe 100 - 120. Big deal. New Q7 dropped (again on paper ) 300kg ! With no cf. I believe in bmw as much as I believe in god. My x3 was supposed to be 45kg lighter than my previous x3! Thing was probably 45 kg heavier!!! Marketing BS

I doubt it will put the s class's interior to shame. Although I love BMWs I just don't see that happening.

Sounds mostly like an incremental upgrade from the previous version....
What had been truly innovative would have been to also offer it with a fully electric drivetrain. But I don't think BMW neither have the balls for it nor are innovative enough.

I don't get all that S Class interior love as well, an interior to truly beat would be imo that of the Jaguar XJ!

But that said I am still fan of the minimalist interior look of BMWs...

Love how they brand the products. Sometimes the road to the destination is more memorable than the destination itself. I love the buildup to each release. I personally love the 3 series and its history. So the 7 series is the intended "more mature" progression. Built off Motorsport but breed for elegance. So cool to hear a 4 time 7 owner is impressed by the new product!

Not sure this is so advance when you consider Acura has done this for a few years. Even the low end ILX has this feature.

Maybe BMW has a better version of it. These system rely on camera and radar and don't work that well in snow/rain.

Anything about the suspension? It's what really made the A8 and the S-Class a better crusier. The F01 is by no means stiff, but its harsher than the competition. And you'd think that it would feel sportier, but it doesn't as nothing else in the F01 feels sporty. I would wish the 7 series would be built from the ground up to be a "sport car", and then would deal with the luxury, just like the E38 and the Porsche Panamera. I trust BMW to make the balance a perfect one with the G11, especially because of the weight savings.

I really like only M Sport BMWs.
The design of normal series is not special at all!

Told ya. Marketing bs. So from 200 we are now at 130. By the time the car rolls out of the production line it will be 10 or 15 kg heavier.

I tend not to be biased and IMO the G12 optioned with a specific line and Individual Composition is on par if not slighly better than the S-Class Maybach. Material Quality is that of a Phantom with a contemporary design.

One thing about Jaguar, you get a very wide choice of colours.
Standard Color Palette is mostly carry over with a couple of new ones. Individual Composition Palette for Paint is a little greater and some new hues have been added. The interior choices however...

I agree. The technology in the new 7 is one step up from the S Class. I'm talking new iDrive vs. new COMMAND system.

The interior quality of the 7 is on par with the S Class.

Lots of nice leather/paint choices and around 3-4 alcantara choices. If I remember right.

The sound system is very nice.

Not much details about the new BOWERS AND WILKINS sound system but I expect that it will at the very least match the current Bang & Olufsen unit.

Also, did anyone notice the digital display for the AC CLIMATE CONTROL?
