I see that it works via watching on YouTube I don't get what I'm doing wrong

Traction off
Sport mode
Sport shift
Hard break
Full accelerator to floor

No flag ever comes up showing launch control

Do you really have to drive 6 miles before it gets enabled or does the car just need to be warmed up?

Make sure you put the shifter in MANUAL mode, otherwise you are all good.

I think that's it... my m3 wouldn't allow it in manual so I never tried it on this one. So you literally have to paddle down to 1st? Probably makes sense because the car starts off normally from 2nd I think... wouldn't make for a quick launch.

Still doesn't work,, I'm gonna have the dealer check it out next service.
Can anyone confirm if they have a sport plus mode or just sport and individual sport?

Just to check, you have run the car in first right? (done at least 1200 miles in total)...I believe some launch modes are disabled until after that time which may be the issue? (certainly not good to do it in the run in period)...

If you have more miles than that can't help! (Not tried it on mine but only a 730d so not expecting it to launch anyway!)

Safe travels.

My F01 had a sport + mode and was an SE model...

My G11 SE only has sport and sport individual (June 2016 build). I believe only M Sport models now have the sport + but may be wrong? (and as you have an M Sport you should have sport + if that is the case).

Hoping someone else can help you out.

Just Sport and Sport Individual on my 2017 750 M Sport. You get a bit more ‘sport’ by moving the gear selector across to the left, that’s when I get full noise from the M Sport exhaust. But unlike Sport+ on other BMW, the full safety net stays on.

So Launch Control:

I have a rear wheel drive but guess it works with x-drive as well.

Engine on; engine warm! (So 15m/20k of driving)
Press DSC only once; it will mention 'TRACTION' in the screen
Gear Lever to the left in S. Don't put it forward or backward to select manual. Only in S.
Left foot firm on the brake; brake to the max
Right foot firm on the gas; all the way through kickdown
A finish flag will show; revs should build up.
Release the brake, keep the pedal to the metal
