On restart was AWD. Would revert to RWD with all the warnings if car accelerated hard or driven vigorously. Our Indy found that the tie rods on the car were the wrong ones and the right one having a breakdown at the connector point. Also transfer case damaged irreparably.
Car will be ready on Wednesday.
Thank god for the quality extended warranties I have on all my cars. 7k worth of parts and labor costing me 300 USD. My Indy is the best one in the Syracuse area and did us well.

Add: also had transmission fluid changed.
Whose the extended warranty from ?

Replace the light switch for my 2009 740Li

Do you guys has experience to replace the light switch by yourself? If yes, may I request a brief up for step-by-step replacement? The light switch was melted partially as per the attached picture. I bought a new one from a shop wanna to try replacing it by myself. Thanks in advance!

There are instructions on the TIS website that should help in removing the trim to change the light switch.

I don't know if you're LHD or RHD...but if you're RHD...the instructions should extrapolate to the right side (if the instructions are for removing the left side trim).

Click the following link, type in the last 7 digits of your VIN...then type something like "remove fresh air grille" or "removing and installing/replacing light operating facility" in the search box. You should see a link near the top for removing the left fresh air grille. The instruction to remove the trim that holds the light switch unit should be in those instructions. Also take note of any other links in the instructions that may call for doing some "preliminary" work: https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/

Looks awesome! Do you have a how-to? Or did you take it to a shop?

I had all coolant lines replaced, rear main seal replaced while it was down for coolant plate leak. Thermostat and radiator hose replaced and also main oil hose replaced because it blew out in driveway. That part alone was 500 bucks and I switched to liquid Molly oil. Time to sell it now after I put over 3k in repairs.Goid thing my BMW mechanic has his own shop at the house .
