Vibration during Braking

When my B7 turned over 12k miles in June, I started to feel the whole car vibrating when I apply the brakes. This is more pronounced when I'm at highway speeds and trying to slow down to get to an exit. So, I took it in for service in June and they resurfaced the rotor and replaced the brake pads on both front wheels. It kinda took care of it but it was still vibrating so I went back in mid July and this time, they replaced the rotors and brake pads for both front wheels. After this, the car was driving and braking good for awhile until maybe a week ago when it started to vibrate again when braking. Now I have an appointment to take it back next Friday.

Anything else I can do? Is anyone else having this same issue?

Alinement ? Bad tire wheel, part of suspension?

Do you brake hard? Since the vibration went away after the replacement, focus on the brake parts to determine the issue and if the rotors are getting warped easily.

Rotors can get warped if they are exposed to water when hot. Hard braking will heat them. I had a car's rotors warp after a hard brake through some deep puddles. I’m beginning to think the rotors are getting warped very easily. I do brake hard to decelerate fast and prepare to exit. But, nothing I haven’t done to any of my cars. I’ve had several M cars since 2011 (buy every year...it’s a sickness) and none of them ever exhibited this issue. This is my first Alpina and I seem to be at the dealer every month either having a bent wheel repaired or the brakes! BTW, if you’re thinking of getting Alpina 21s, forget it....it’s a major hassle. I think they are too soft and bend easily.

It might be worth it to install better quality/ race-rated aftermarket rotors like EBC or even StopTech.

It's very rare to have a warped disc cast iron rotors don't generally warp, you'll have deposits on the rotor rather than a warped disc.

You have to replace rotors. Resurpace doesn't help.

This sounds so strange seeing as all Aplina's come with the equivalent of BMW's M-Sport brakes, which are designed for hard driving.

If you're still having problems I'll be happy to trade you for my 2019 750ix!!! My brakes are excellent and I drive like a maniac.

Haha! Despite the brake problem, I love my B7 :-)
