I always thought it strange this car still existed and only car in the lineup with that engine. Looks like US configurator only has I6 and V8. I did see a review site showing a 2019 760LI but it is still the old body style is that the case? Will they be discontinued? Also curious if anyone has tuned a V12 car or even V8? Making 1000 horsepower?

I'm guessing China and the Gulf states buy them, they even offer it in the UK yet there are many cars we don't get that would sell more, I think they like to get the flagship with the big gun everywhere they can.

Even China is trying to go all electric, a V12 seems out of place except for members of the communist party elite who can circumvent the rules perhaps. BMW should drop this engine in a serious supercar like the LFA. Though this big of a motor would hamper handling performance where smaller lighter engines are the trend even in supercars.

Not seen the V12 tuned but DINAN do offer tuning for the V8 750 and there is a thread on here with those mods if you're interested. Some minor chipping also been done but nothing I've seen to get them to the figures you mention. Re: China, I may be wrong but I believe the 'rich middle class' is actually the size of the USA population (or all of Europe at around 350 Million people) and as such, even a slice of that demographic will be lucrative for all car makers so plenty of money, status and demand for the 7 as well as 760 there I imagine (but small given the whole population of course). Safe travels everyone.

yes quite a rare beast at least in the UK.
Saw a used one in Sytners High Wycombe at the weekend for £87.5K Not sure of mileage but looked probably just delivery / demo mileage. Only the 3rd one I've ever seen in the UK. |

Give it a few more years it will be cheaper than a 3 series of the same vintage I think even if it's rare in the UK. 7 series are all over the place here but not sure how many are v12 cars but I was told the V8 cars are way more reliable long term.
