How to operate the side sunblind rolo

Hello, so one very frustrating thing I can figure out is there a way to lift the rear side sunblinds from the drivers seat? On my previous A8 I would just double click to close the window and the blind would come up.

Is there a way to lift the rear side sunblinds or to code it?

You can only put them all up or all down (including the center).

If you just press the button once it will put up the center shade and thats it, if you press and hold after you already hit the button it will just stop the center one and bring it down.

You need to hold it down from the start and it will bring up all 3 at the same time.

Same thing to bring them all down, you need to hold it down from the start with no delay.

Ditto everything in the quote above. If you're trying to operate any of the shades for the rear seat area (sides & rear) they all need to be in the same position if you want all of them to work in conjunction with each other.

So if the sides are up and the rear is down (or vice versa)...press driver's button to either get them ALL up or ALL down. Once they are all in the same position, the driver's button can raise or lower them ALL with one single press & hold.

Great advice--been trying to figure this one out and couldn't find it in either in the OM or Google! Will give it a try.

No problem...I kind of stumbled onto it after reading the instructions in the owners manual for the rear door buttons. When I saw that a press & hold of the rear shade button operated all 3 rear shades at the same time...I wondered if the same held true for the button on the front driver's door for the rear shade. My intuition paid off...because the front rear shade button works the same way as the rear door buttons.

(and again to anyone who may have missed it earlier in the thread...all 3 rear shades can only be operated together if they all are in the same position...if they aren't...once you get them all in the same position, then they can be raised or lowered together)

Yea it would have driven me crazy, I was lucky to have a good SA and Genuis who really knew these cars, it was one of the first things they showed me on delivery.
