Every EV sold now is another nail in the coffin for ICE cars, and manuals will die long before gas engines do. Don't buy an EV and then complain when you can't buy an M3 anymore.

Back on topic..how is BMW NA going to allocate 12 vehicles, figure a lottery. Best bang for the buck with would be pure metal silver, doubt it would be offered at no cost at MRSP of $200 k.

How much a 12 cylinder 200 k seven series price drops after 10 years?? I have 3 bmws and 1 Tesla, they are not mutually exclusive. I know we are passionate about BMWs, but I'm not so sure we have many patrol head passionate people left in bmw headquarter any more. I enjoy driving my manual m235, i8 and Tesla, each in different way. At the end, life is is long enough if you how to enjoy it. Drive whatever makes you happy. I'm just saying as a car enthusiasts you can do much better with 200k than buying a 7 series. These are just marketing tactics that a car company does. You probably can buy that car half price 1-2 years later. In 2018 I felt in love in "m5 first edition"(frozen red, only 400 made), but the dealer wanted 165k for that car. I bought it the next year for 95k and 8000 miles on it. Just my 2 cents. Cheers |

I turned in my 2019 760 lease last month. I REALLY miss it. I thought about ordering a new Frozen Bluestone over Tartufo 760 but ultimately ordered an S Class. (Which does NOT compare). This is a sad end to an era. 12 people will be very lucky to get one of these

This is indeed a very sad day.
I'd love the N74 in an M8 though. If it was RWD and a dual clutch or 6MT the M6 would be gone in a second. Ohh yes I know how unrealistic that is.

Will ICE cars retain value, once the world of cars shifts from fossil fuels to electricity (or hydrogen, etc.)? I don't know.

Oh shit. I wonder if I should try and snatch one of these versus the 23 X5m...

This I like. Send off the V12 with a joint build. Twelve 7 series and twelve 860CSi (with a manual).

It’s a cool idea. Especially if you’re going to put it in a garage and barely drive it, maybe. But unless you have Bill Gates cash, sees crazy to pay that much overage for a car that’s going to lose the value quickly. Seems like a lot to pay for the one of the final cars, when you could pay a lot less for a regular V12 before they end production.

Similar to how highly the Shadow Edition X7s are trading for, and they made a few hundred of those.
