Is it just the maintenance? Or do people not like BSM?
Its the maintenance for me. I agree BSM is by far the best looking color on the M2.

My 340 is BSM. I won't do it again. That being said, the paint on my 340 looks better than a friend's six month old Red A3...but he takes his car through "soft touch" car washes. Evil things.

Can you elaborate on why you wouldn’t get BSM again? I am considering BSM but I have never owned a black car. Right now my order is for HS. Tomorrow I am going into the dealer to pay and sign for my car and I am still debating the color. I still have time to change it.

Black paint swirls if you look at it funny. So pretty much you'll be in for a lot more buffing, claying, and waxing.

If you do PPF and/or a good coating it probably won't be that bad.

I still have my car set to LBB w/ Blue stitching but I REALLY want to change it to BSM w/ Orange just don't wanna deal with it long term. Black is BY FAR the best looking on this car IMNSHO.

Sure depends on the weather where u live... in my rainy country i would only consider BSM if i was ready to wash the car every other day. And i'm not. Did BSM once and will never do it again no matter how wonderful that color is when clean.

How do you change your vote?
Moving from SO to HS.
Even though I find HS relatively boring, none of the other colours work for me at all.

Will see HS in the metal and if I don’t like it, will probably cancel my order, which would be a crying shame.

Going in to spec my car on Saturday and still can't make up my mind. Really would like BSM but not sure I can handle all the tlc it will need. So hovering between HS and LBB. Then if I can bottom that blue or orange interior mmmm

Good luck man! I think LBB with blue and not orange stitching. If BSM I think orange would look really nice. HS I would do blue or orange.... dammit I can see why you are having such a hard time haha. Luckily my favorite color is blue, so my decision was easy.

So is LBB only specific to M2? Or is it offered in other BMW series? those with LBB, how flashy are they? I have only seen one M2 with LBB so far, it looked good but it was cloudy day so it didn't pop.

X5 M and X6 M are also available with LBB. BMW offered LBB on X4 M40i too for a while but they don't anymore.

LBB with Orange. What you all think? Or will it be out of place?

Wife wants me to switch it to LBB. So my new order will be LBB, blue with black. I love the color as well. I was debating between HS and LBB, ordered HS, now back to LBB. Lol.

I love black - but I live in a part of the U.K. with beautiful countryside and rich, deep farmland covering our roads to around waist height in winter. As I'm writing from the U.K. about the U.K., for summer read winter. Except curiously, for this year when Old Harry clearly thinks we deserve a break no doubt from the Brexit debacle, Donald's wonderfully empowering tweets (if you're of another planet), and a once glorious country rapidly disappearing up its own balloon knot. ( Thank you, Richard Porter.)
White is synonymous with police cars and utilitarian vehicles and I feel it peaked when the third generation VW Scirocco hit the streets around 10 years ago. SO is Ok - it's orange and it should be "sunset" as I believe concepts beyond their useful dates are these days, but it's not the worst.
I'm going for LBB with the horrid blue perforated seats, at least I thought I was until I saw another LBB M2 today which, in the bright sunlight, flashed a vivid brilliant green a couple of milliseconds before my left eyeball, which took the full brunt of it, exploded.
Hockenheim silver was my original choice but then I thought it'll look grey for most of its life. Is it exciting enough ? Does it need to be ? How about black ? Or perhaps white ? Or should I wrap it in, oh I dunno, brown paper or a Laura Ashley print perhaps ? Or stay with LBB and hope it remains overcast ? Or Sunset Orange which is cheery and we may need some of that soon.
But I do really like black.
