Extending my Lease

My 2019 760 lease expires 12/2021 but the new 7 series is not due until Summer 2022. Will BMW allow me to extend my lease 6-8 months to allow me to order the brand new 7 Series in 2022?

I've heard you could. I did a google search and got this

I was able to extend my X5 lease 6 months while waiting for the X7 to be released. Repeated delays in production forced me into a 750i, although theoretically I could've kept waiting. When you extend a lease they provide you with an extra mileage allotment for each month, but for me it wasn't enough as I was already grossly over-mileage (and I needed a larger vehicle anyway).

If the terms don't work out in your favor. Maybe a short term swap lease would be an ideal situation.

How soon will BMW allow me to contractually extend my lease? Will I be able to do it 3-4 months before lease end so I do not have to worry about ordering a new car?

They usually wait until a month before the lease matures. Talk it over with your preferred sales associate. It was a painless process for us.
