Question Removing LED fog lights housing

Hello all.

Curious if anyone has been able to remove the fog light housing without triggering a CEL or dash alert.

I’m wanting to get more of the 760 front fascia look without the fogs.
Thanks!

I guess I'll be the first one to give it a shot then lol. I'm also thinking of just going with a limo tint on them to hide them without removjng

Even cheaper will be a $7 can of Plast-Dip. Peels right off when you're ready to remove. Did the wheels and grille of my X5 and it passed for powder coating.

Shouldn't cause a CEL since that light illuminates when something has affected the car's emissions. If removing the fog light housing somehow affected the car's air intake or fuel intake/consumption etc...that would be the only way that it would cause the CEL light to illuminate.

In regards to any other warning...like from the check control system...you may get a warning that a fog light is out unless you coded the fog light warm & cold voltage check monitoring off. But you can easily turn that off using a simple app like Bimmercode...at least on the e & f chassis models.
