Wow, awesome. How were you able to get the badge, front grill and other accents in brushed nickel (instead of chrome)?

Silver trim stands out too much. I like the G11 just not in M-Sport trim.

F01 M-Sport > G11 M-Sport
G11 Base > F01 Base.

No need for an M7 if they've got this. This is what they consider their rival to the S65, however the S65 is a much superior car IMO

Well I think it depends on the car. All I know is that when I have a family and need to reluctantly buy an SUV, I don't just want to blend in like 99% of the other boring X5s and Q7s out there. Blacking out the wheels with the right paint color adds some flash and uniqueness.

The grey exterior trim is standard on the newer M Performance models (same on M550i) and has now extended to pretty much all elements that are normally chrome, black or silver: grille surround, bumper trim, wheels (usually optional), side mirror caps, air breathers, exhaust pipes (on 7 Series but usually black), badges, side and boot lid trim bars (7 Series). The window trim however remains black.

Unlike other BMWs, the M Sport 7 Series retains the normal non M Sport steering wheel, which you've probably seen in the brochure, or the optional Individual wheel. The M Performance version though just had to come with BMW's newer M Sport steering wheel.

I can understand wanting to stand out. My family hauler X3 is sport package and Montego Blue so it really stands out compared to the bland white or black version.

Sounds like there IS a need for the M7 if the AMG is the better car.

Same but the benefit is that matte finishes look different from the swaths of other black 7ers out there. It's the same reason why black wheels are popular even if they don't necessarily make a car look any better.
Black wheels are also ugly IMO
Definitely your opinion

I should clarify. Black wheels can look amazing. The OEM M3/4 wheels look great black/machined. What I can't stand is the poorly done plastidipped black wheels which out number the tasteful black wheels that look great when executed properly.

I actually didn't know the 7 came with foot rests for the rear passengers - put me in the back with a movie on and somebody drive me around. (I'm a parent with young children so I don't get to relax a whole lot) Oh yeah the rest of the car looks great too

"Better" is a matter of personal preference. AMG will be splendid in its own way and so will the 760.

I guess that depends on your age bracket.

While I congratulate to the owner for getting such a majestic vehicle, I seem to not get the point

What the car gets in image, it loses in lack of purpose and absence of modesty

If that's to be a driver's car, why is it long base? If that's a chauffeur car, why such a beast of an engine? To run away? ...

It's "too-in-your-face" if I'm honest. Looks good, but shouts too much

Age has nothing to do with it sir.

AMG does not stop at the almost mark. They go all the way.

BMW needs to make the M7 or they will not be going all out.

That I can agree with. The quality of the work makes the biggest difference.
