No aftermarket options for brakes pads and rotors?

Is there no aftermarket option for brakes pads and rotors? A set of OEM 2x front rotor and 2x brake pad is like $1500 CAD

None of the places I'd recommend carry aftermarket for the 7 series. I wouldn't it really recommend it. As it is this car is hard to stop. The only option is upgrading and not downgrading. These cars aren't cheap to maintain.

The OEM ones are crap, only 50,000km and the disc are warped. Bigger brands like stoptech and brembo doesn't even carry rotors for G11 7 series

I've had the same issues with Brembos 😂. No joke. My M5 F10 has replaced twice under warranty within 2 years for warping. Once on my Hellcat. My current brakes are warped on my 7. Trying to get bmw to replace them, only happens after a few high speed braking before I get the vibrations. Under warranty and maintenance for me still. Hopefully also transfers to these OEM brakes.

These are the upgrades for our cars. I just bought them. They are bmw branded Brembo calipers. I think the rotors are bmw branded Zimmerman

Have you looked at the RockAuto website. Looks like they have several options for G12 pads & rotors for way less than the dealer would charge.

I just did they do have cheaper options, but not floating rotor like OEM, makes them much easier to warp :/

Zimmerman supplies BMW and Alpina. Some M5s come with brembo which are crap.
I had Zimmerman's on few of my cars and the feel is wow. I would never spend money on Brembos.

With brake pads you need to go OEM, as there are brake sensors that also need to be replaced and not sure if aftermarket would be compatible so to me this is just one service item not worth the risk to save a few $100 bucks.

Rear pads on my 740iX were $989 at dealer. And car only has 27000 miles on it which from what I understand is the shelf life for OEM pads.

For the 7, I personally would go oem. Call around different bmw dealerships in other states for the cheapest option

I just installed OEM M760 brakes (395mm front and 395mm rear) on my car and it is a HUGE improvment. I absolutley love it! Worth every penny to me.

Was it a straight swap or did you need to modify in anyway?

www.g-locbrakes.com has brake pads for these cars and can also make custom pads if needed. We get all our stuff for our race cars AND street cars there. The pads are fantastic. Ask for Danny when you call.

They make any pad, any compound and they sell a lot of Tesla and govern vehicle pads (heavy vehicles). I had pads done for my F 7 series and they were fantastic and cheaper than other stuff I could find that was crap. I am getting ready to get G12 pads made for my new 7.
