Details on 48V Mild Hybrid system?

I’m trying to find out some info about the new Mild Hybrid systems in the diesel and petrol models here in the UK. Does anyone have a document outlining exactly how it works? All I can seem to find is a tiny section in the Owner’s Manual which gives an overview and doesn’t really explain anything.

I know that it effectively provides a boost of around 20hp, and disconnects the engine when coasting below 9mph (+ no Start Stop button), but that’s about it.

That's about it. It's not specific to the 7 series though but they apply to a lot of the new 6 cylinder gas and Diesel engines.
