F01 soft close issue

Hello everyone,

I recently bought an F01 730d 2010, and I have an issue with the soft close on the front passenger door. It has been like that since I bought the car, and basically what happens is that the mechanism pulls the door inwards, but after a second or so, it releases it back. I tried adjusting the latch on the chassis but without luck. Has anybody else encountered this problem?

Thanks in advance.

Any luck?

Hey man, I have this EXACT same issue on my 2015 750Li. I got it almost a year ago and the issue just recently appeared, only on the driver side door. Have you managed to fix it? Thanks.

Mine started doing this too. Was on vacation so car sat for maybe two weeks. Came back to realize the front doors do this however the rear doors close as they should. Read up on it and said it could be an alignment issue on the doors. Doesn’t sound right to me as it just started doing this. Any other updates?

ive had this issue and it propagated to all of my doors (have an F10 but the mechanism is identical, just the dimensions are different)...I was in the middle of an interior swap and was lucky to get the modules from the donor car which worked normally, but now, after about 5 years, I'm getting the same issue on all corners. It started with one and the more I used the doors, the rest of them followed. I have a feeling it is some plastic bit inside that is breaking up and causing this issue. Cannot be alignment. Have not had a chance to open them up and see wth is going on.
