G12 b58 "intermittent" engine sound during acceleration

Today I noticed that the engine produces some weird noise when you apply "hard" acceleration. Only happens on low gears(1,2,3). The engine sound is not smooth, so to speak. It has some "gaps". So, for a really short amount of time the sounds just disappears. This happens throughout first and second gears and slightly on gear 3. What is interesting is that the car is not loosing dynamics. It still feels as fast as it should be.
I already made an appointment with dealer, but they can only check the car in a week ! So, I'm a bit scared about what could it be and looking forward for community thoughts

If your car has active sound design then perhaps this is the culprit.

That was my first guess. I check the car with bimmercode and the app was not able to see the ASD module. Then I dismantled the trunk a bit, but didnt find the module as well. So, probably I don't have the module
