Brakes and lowering

Hi all. I have a 2009 750LI Looking to lower call with H&R Springs and to get Brembo brake kit. Anyone do the H&R Springs? How much approx for installation? Anyone have Brembo brakes? What was cost of installation? How much better is braking power?

Also debating a tune. Is Dinan the only way to go?

I have mine on 22's and have the H&R sport springs. Pretty happy with it. Paid $450 for installation which included wheel alignment, as u would need to do it after changing springs.
No brake kit for me. Not worth the $.
Good luck

I got a 2011 m lowered w h&r sitting on 20" the only problem Is uneven tire wear I also have spacers on it and every single time I bring to the dealer about the breaks they give me a hard time about lowering the car and putting spacer which has nothing to do with the breaks. Anyone else experiencing any problem with uneven tire wear?

Dinan isn't the only way to go, but they are the best way to go.

Wheel alignment is a must after lowering it.

H&R springs are the lowest drop on the 750. Eibach rides better, but a slight drop. You'll need lowering links for the rear, since LI have air suspension in the back if I'm not mistaken. That's why AC sells only the front springs for the F02.

Save your money on Brembo, unless you like them for looks only. The brakes on the 7s are good enough to stop a 4,500lb vehicle. Use the money for a nice set of forged wheels and tires.

On tunes, people like Dinan for the warranty (which your 4yr is up). Burger Tuning is developing a tune for the N63, a lot cheaper.

Thanks

Appreciate the tips all. I think I am going to hold off on brakes per everyones suggestion. Pull the plug on H&R and dinan stage 2. My local shop quoted me $1200 to put the H&R on. Sound like too much?

$1,200 is way too high, considering the most work is done in the front. H&R comes with lowering links for the rear (Li comes with self-leveling suspension - air ride), so not much work is needed there. Find another shop. Expect $400-600.

I pulled the trigger on the Brembo's. Did it mainly for looks. I am lowered with Dinan springs in the front and Dinan links in the rear. I may take them out, I want to go just a little bit lower. The Alpina's came with Eibach's up front from the factory. The ride after the Dinan lowering is great. I just want little to no gap...

This looks killer. How much did you pay in total for installation and alignment ?

Thank you. Installation, I did it all myself. Didn't do an alignment since the Alpina is already lower than a standard 7 out of the box, the Dinan springs only lower an additional 1/2".

I've pretty much been told/believed through the years if you lower an inch or less an alignment is not really needed. Not 100% sure how true it is but it has worked out for me...
