Have you experienced iDrive rebooting or other error messages since you coded CarPlay, especially when using Google maps with satellite view? Thanks

It does work on 2016 G 12's just depends on the build date !!! Works perfectly in my 2016 they started it mid year I believe

I've never had a reboot. I typically always use Apple Maps, but I have tried Google Maps with satellite view a few times, but probably not enough to cause an issue. It's just shocking how well CarPlay works, even wirelessly, yet when I rent a 2020 Toyota car (has happened 3 times) the navigation is always terribly delayed and you miss a lot of turns. That's even when using a wired connection. Never had issues in other rentals from several Fords, Chevy, Hyundai or VW.

No issues with my 2016 740. Works perfectly.
