Maintenance Guide?
So I did a ton of searching online and can't seem to find the document that spells out exactly what maintenance is supposed to happen at what mileage. I found this:
https://www.bmwusa.com/explore/bmw-v...nty-books.html But it doesn't really get into the level of detail I am looking for. I'm shopping a 93K mile, 2016 G12 that lived at a dealer and the most recent service, that has a ton of "stuff" that happened, was around 86K miles. Trying to see if there is another batch of stuff that needs to happen in the near future. |

That's because there is no hard and fast servicing schedule with newer cars. You can check the remaining distance and time for different service items from CID under vehicle status. Things like brakes, filters, spark plugs are a CBS (Condition Based Service) items and are serviced when needed. Filters usually get changed every other oil change, or interval can vary if car itself deems so. Brake pads are serviced when wear indicators make contact and then leave you with a linear, remaining distance of 2000km.
There is a bigger service and that is called Vehicle Check. I will attach a pdf with the servicing scope. |
