It looks really good! Restrained design is what I'd call this but very well executed, nonetheless. Good for BMW taking the opposite approach in design from MBZ

The front bumper is a little bit too busy and I'm not sure I'm crazy about the f30 esque headlights.

Back end is nice and the interior doesn't differ much from the F01.

Is this a misprint? Twin turbo on the I6?

Looks great it's modern, elegant, and sporty. I actually prefer the standard model over the msport (at least in white).

wow you're funny.

sorry but the m sport bottom bumper is out of place. it doesn't flow with the top portion in term of aggressiveness. the front top look much better BUT the rear went to nice japanese looking version.

comparing this with S class? i think Mercedes is heading toward the right direction.

i can't speak for technology wise....sometimes little is better than too much of it.

Such as this render of the next generation 4er.
Addressed criticism...the wrong way. I don't think that's a good enough excuse or reason. It looks stuck on because BMW chose to design it like that. There are better ways to implement those air breathers and it was done on the X5 and M3/M4. The air breathers aren't a complex design, just integrate it with the body or the panel, you don't need to slap something on and make it more difficult then it needs to be like was done on the new 7er.

It's about maintaining the design that attracts customers to BMW in the first place. Sure, some folks are about driving dynamics, but most customers are buying BMW for the luxury and the prestige. With that in mind, I think the 7-series is designed conservatively to attract a more mature, well-established customer base. Wins on that front. I think it definitely has road presence. And would love to see the new tech trickle down to the 3-series.

The opposite of good is bad

TBH I think the new 7 is pretty good looking from some angles, but I was expecting more weight loss than that. Not sure it matters much in a 7 anyway, but it'll be a letdown if the next 5 is only 100-150 lb lighter.

The only thing I hate about it are the rims. I just don't like those design on any of the models. Apart from that everything looks great. I love the boomerang very much.

Very disappointing... The last great 7er was the E38.

Grille and headlights are awful.

Did BMW learn anything from the failure of the Cadillac button-less haptics?

Does not come close to the class leader... Sadly the S and A8 still reign.

What does '... for last' means'? They did not announce it today, even not for later this year. Does '... for last' means LCI?
Thanks in advance for any hints.

I like it, but i miss the orange side markers and led strip in top of the light. In the light way, i think this look more dated out because of the missing side markers and eyebrow than F01 LCI with LED headlight. Is it any reason that the side markers and eyebrow now is gone, Scott26?

Optional Bowers & Wilkins 1400-Watt Hi-Fi system with Diamond dome tweeter tech & specially tweaked to fit G11/G12 7er interior acoustics not enough for you?

Perfect listening pleasure: Bowers & Wilkins Diamond surround
sound system.

The Bowers & Wilkins Diamond surround sound system offered as an option
for the new BMW 7 Series makes it possible to experience a new dimension
in listening pleasure while enjoying the in-car entertainment programme. A
fully active 10-channel amplifier with an output of 1,400 watts and 16 partially
illuminated speakers together produce an exceptionally precise and
wonderfully rich sound in the cabin. In the process, dynamic sound equalizing
with three analogue crossovers ensures uniform acoustic performance
delivered to all seats.

The system also enables the sound setting to be matched to the selected
entertainment genre. The five acoustic scenarios on offer include, for
example, “Concert”, which reproduces the acoustics experienced in a concert
hall, and the “Cinema” setting, which provides cinema-like acoustics when
watching a movie on the Rear-seat entertainment system.

Bowers + Wilkins car audio is garbage, almost as bad as BOSE.

Overall a cool car, but not $100k cool or competitive with the comfort of the S Class. If you're buying a car this big, you basically want a luxury shuttle. That's also why id take an M5 for people moving.
Which car have you heard B&W Diamond inside of?

whoever designed those headlights should go kill them self.It looks like a subaru impreza.
The interior dash is a fail.Looks like a mess with no design flow. The rest of it looks fine.

it's not particularly funny or effective to joke about suicide.

Since when has BMW made decisions based on criticism? Coming from a BMW executive this is absolutely terrifying to hear!
