Esim and theater in Rear

Open someone can help me. I connected my eSIM to my car, tried to connect the theater to it and it’s not working. It keeps giving me an error message. I deactivated my Sim several times, and reactivated same issue. Now the other problem I have my eSIM will not delete the activate from my app anymore. I’ve tried it numerous times. It keeps popping up as active but the carrier says it’s been disconnected on their end. What’s the solution?

Every time I deactivate, it says a few minutes for it to completely be gone from the app and then it pops up as active again. The theater is still not connecting to the vehicle.

Not sure if this will help but the only way I could get my eSIM to fully activate (it was stuck on step 3 of 4) was to do an iDrive reset from the settings menu. An iDrive reboot didn’t help. Once I did the reset it completed the final step and activated.

No it sat at the dealer for the past 4 days no resolution. But I did talk to bmw and they also called the dealer. There is an issue with T-Mobile. They are working on resolving it. Bmw said ESim is down u till they figure out the resolution.

I’m out of town and can’t check but I got a text from T-Mobile this morning saying my eSIM number is no longer associated with my main number. Did they disable this nationwide without any notification?

Yes, I also got the same and mine was not even working. Seems there is a glitch between T-Mobile and ESim. They must of launched with out making sure this part was working correctly.

Esim does not even work in the UK

At least you have the option of connecting your esim via the BMW app to your car. Here in the UK, this is not possible and one has to get a esim reader and then also a physical sim to put in it.

These little annoying things are beginning to worry me about the i7.

This sounds like it could be related. Apparently T-Mobile did a change on their end yesterday that fixed things eSIM issues for at least one X7 LCI user. In summary, all users who signed up for eSIM via T-Mobile between end of January until yesterday could’ve encountered problems and that should’ve been fixed yesterday.

I’m still having same issue. Seems like T-Mobile has not fixed the issue yet. Anyone up and running yet ??

Hold down the volume button for 70 seconds, the iDrive should come on and off two times.
