03/2023.45 OTA installed

I got and installed the 03/2023.45 update OTA yesterday and unfortunately none of my issues were fixed. Climate Sync still disables itself, still have some crackling/static when using CarPlay and built-in Spotify app.

Re the climate sync issue, I noticed when I turn on the car and try to adjust drivers side temperature, it also adjusts passenger sides too so the sync is actually active even though it doesn’t show the sync icon next to the passenger temp

If the passenger is not present, sync is not displayed as on. But the sync is there.

In my case it’s not unfortunately. When I’m alone it adjusts both temperatures but when someone is in the passenger seat the sync is off. I turn it back on and it works until the car’s been off for a few hours and then it’s disabled against very annoying.

Anyone notice any difffences after this upgrade? To me, it all seems the same

This is a positive that they are releasing the march update ota this quickly

Agree it’s a good thing, two OTA since late Jan.

Same experience, nothing is different and the software bugs are still there.

I was hoping to come here and see what has been updated with the last update other than the trunk’s ability to be automatically closed with a push on the lid. Guess not. I was actually hoping we’d get the opening the doors from the app function like other countries already have. Wishful thinking on my part.

Is the update also for i7? I don’t show any updates available.

It's now available in the app if you have the digital key enabled and are within the distance for it to work. A new Icon under remote services will display when it's available to be used.

BMW UK says that the OTA update is going to be available for i7 in June/July.

They suggest getting the update installed at a service centre instead.

I noticed today that the update fixed the shades with the use of the TV.

When you lowered the TV, the shades would come down automatically, but when you raised the TV, the shades did not retract. You had to make them retract.

Now, when you shut down the TV, the shades automatically retract to their original position.

That is helpful.

Ooo. Looks like my i7 just got notified of a software update!
That took a little while; maybe BMWNA are rolling out the update for more 7 models now.

The OTA update showed up in the MyBMW app for my i7 as well. The app made me drive around for 20 min or so while it transferred the update from my phone to the car but otherwise it was painless.
