2017 7 Series Air Suspension
Hey guys, got a “Chassis Function Limited” Warning today. And I come to see the right rear part of the Air Suspension is Lowered completely. There’s no change in the drive or anything I have an appointment with bmw on June 5th. The strange part is when I try to air up it gives that fault. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

If you do it yourself it will cost around 500€ - (5h) - Access to the three bolts of the shock absorber is from the cab behind the rear seats under the shelf with speakers. The plastic covers behind the seats are fastened with velcro strip. I replaced it myself without dismantling the seats because I have massagers in the back section and I didn't want to disconnect and unfasten it all.
If you decide to go to a BMW dealer it's 2500€ (prox) 99% of the time it's a leak at the airbag or suspension damper valve connector Last edited by LuckyW; 05-27-2023 at 02:28 AM.. |

Take pictures of the upholstery before taking the car to the workshop to claim any damage from the workshop. If the mechanic is not a person who does not care about changing the gloves for work inside and outside, he will leave traces of dirt and scratches.

Here on the forum there are thousands of people who have been served by BMW dealers and still have damaged cars.
I am asking you to share your experience after the repair and out of pure curiosity what costs (I know you won't pay anything but I'm sure they'll tell you) |

Hey, sorry to revive this thread, but how is the car doing?
I'm asking because mine started the same. A few weeks and not much driving later (less than 1k km I guess), my other bags started going one by one, a few days in between. I'm currently at the third compressor (under warranty, fortunately). |

Compressors will keep failing until actual fault is eliminated. These compressors are not designed to run continuously and will fail quickly if operated outside of design parameters. In a properly sealed system, the compressor should run so rarely that you wont ever notice it. |
