Radar detector + Laser jammers: where to plug-in / install

Where in the world do you plug in a radar detector? Is the only option in the armrest or am I missing something?

Also wondering if anyone has installed laser/lidar jammers/shifters. I'm looking at the Escort ZW5 since it is the only well-reviewed system I could find that doesn't require you to go through the firewall (it wirelessly connects to the Escort Radar).

Any input on brands and installs would be helpful. For anyone leasing, hard wiring doesn't seem like an option, no?

Hardwiring is has never been an issue for me with leasing though I bought my 760. For my 760 I had installed an Escort Redline CI. this is a custom installed system with a small control on the dash and a small display in a corner of the windshield. It is expensive but also draws no attention. With a good installer, you can have them uninstall before your lease is up and reinstall in your next car. Thats not cheap either, but for me worth it. I see you're in NYC. My installer is in Mineola and highly recommended (I have no connection other than as a customer). PM me for their name.

I had an Escort Redline installed and the installer tapped into the fuse box by the driver footwell.
