Likewise there is no kink in the rear lower trim, yet you didn't point that out?
Unfortunately I have not seen the side view, only full front, with the front side quarter and back view. I can't complain though, that is more than I wanted, when I just asked about some brief details about the size of the grilles and the headlights going to like Lucid-styled ones.

The front is the part that made the most impression on me. With the split headlights, the big grill and front rising up even more than in my G11 LCI, this car looks very good. Of course my wife complains that the grilles are awful, but she was also hating the G11 LCI 2 years back and now she loves the design.

From what I see it looks like the bumper part that splits the headlights is "hanging" in the air and is not touching the headlight. Hard to tell, maybe its a distortion.

I don't consider myself as an insider, I am not sharing any secrets, you wont get any pictures or details from me, just some hints. I am sharing what I feel is fine and what does not infringe on BMW trade secrets. Thats why I say you can believe me or not, I don't care. You will see that my comments were spot on in few months, anyway.

That 'shit' don't look like a BMW if it will be something like those renders and rumours, and in my opinion (which is subjective), it is not that good-looking nor appealing.

Why would I even want to pretend anything? It's just a forum, not hall of fame, I am sharing what I know with the rest to give you some details. I know I would like to read it myself, if I would not see the real thing. You can ignore my comments if you're not interested.

All the details mentioned in my post will be seen soon, like the split headlights and license plated mounting spot being shown on latest mules. More will come.
Yeah come on guys….this isn't the hall of fame.

So how do you like the split headlights and even bigger kidney grille?

I must admin I would get one, if it had a V8 available as an option

From what I have seen so far concerning the exterior of this upcoming car, I do not like the front. Like I already said, it is not appealing and does not look like a BMW. The front looks as if it is the front of pickup truck of some other brand instead of a flagship sedan or limousine from BMW. Those split headlights might suit more the SUV range.

While not identical, the G70 takes some design inspiration from the 2002 concept.

Perhaps the split design will be more discrete than on the suv range. But we'll know probably more next year with less camo. Unless something leaks.

This looks better, but the split headlights look odd on the 7 series, and the odd (large, disproportionate) size and shape of the grill might make the front worst.

That's my old render from august, at the time the front was more covered and it was not easy to determine the design. But the side design, glasshouse should be quite close to the final design.

below is a newer render I made in october, again nothing is ever 100%, quite impossible with the camo, but a lot more closer than the avarvarii render.

Obviously, everyone's taste is different, but I have had three 7 serieses in the past and I love that angular look. I would put in my order on day 1 the books open, if it actually ends up looking like that Ascariss Design render.

AD, thanks for putting the effort into these.

Thanks for informing. I appreciate that. I think, based on your new render, the upcoming 7 series still looks unappealing and in some sense somewhat a mess and maybe ugly.

fair enough. the car will be controversial, even more so than the E65 I feel. I don't expect my render to be 100% spot on (I don't have access to insider information like the magazines), but I closely studied a lot of spy photos to make it as close as possible. I do suspect there will be some differences which could make it look very different.

What is unknown for the time being are the extra top lights and how they will be positioned. Will they be connected to the grill or floating. Likewise, the lower lights, will they connect to the grill or no. The camo still covers that and maybe we'll get a leak or better clearer spy photos in the future. The small details could be very important when it comes to the final design. I suspect darker colours will look better.

I had more written but no point dwelling on it.

Exclamation

So 2 more new renders. Comparing these to the test cars, the general idea of the the double lights is there, but the designs are not close, especially on the sides of the cars which feature way too much of the current car.

Lots of errors in general on the carwow one, like the line between the front 3/4 panel and bumper, partially missing and the left light not the same design as the right one.

first is from motor.es, article below
https://www.motor.es/noticias/bmw-se...202182574.html

second is from carwow, article below

Yep the side line is the place where current 7 series shows its age the most IMO.

I see myself the E65 lines when looking at my G11 from the side profile, which really makes me feel its an old car already. But when you see G70, G11 becomes a thing of past instantly.

The person who came up with that carlow render should look for another job... this is hideous and sloppy
