Had the turbo coolant leak at 58,000
What did the repair cost?
So bmw initially quoted me 5500.

I told them to go screw themselves as I have been a loyal customer, had bought multiple other bmws including an older 7 series.
They made me call bmw of NA and file a complaint.
After some hassling they came back at me with a quote of 2100.

I told them to shove it again and ended up getting it done at an Indy for 1500.

The whole experience has left a bad impression of bmw on me as they still insist on placing plastic and rubber parts in their engines which They know fail eventually, sometimes as early as 30-40k miles according to some other members.

After I get rid of my current 7 I don't think I will get another 7 series for quite some time.

Anyone have over 60k miles on their 7? Anything in particular that fails after the mileage? Already had the turbo coolant leak fixed once and the grill shutters repaired as well as comfort access on one door repaired and the door actuator fail on one side also

I just broke 40K on my 16 750i.

- High / Low Fuel Pump failure around 22K
- Coolant Leak around 25K
- Steering column grinding / replaced 36K
- Squeaking over bumps / replaced wishbones at 30kish
- Cooling Sean fan failure x 2. 25k and 36k

Everything else is more cosmetic.

I'm almost there. I'm at 54K miles on my 16 750i. Just dropped off car at the dealer to diagnose a creaking noise when turning. They said the thrust bushings are shot and possibly the motor mounts. They also found a rear main seal leak. Leak is covered under CPO. Bushings aren't.

I've also had my shutters replaced around 40K

The number of issues you have had with your current mileage is disheartening.
I just bought the bmw ctek battery and I garaged the 7 as my cpo warranty just expired and I don't want to drive it as much. Hopefully the battery charger will prevent some electrical issues from occurring

I just had my 8HP75 on my 730d G11 Gearbox fauilure at 150k km. Had the car for the last 3 years. I did an oil change and after 100km just had Gearbox error with some smal smal debries in the new oil.

Nice to see alot of n63 cars in here with considerable mileage. Bought mine with 36k miles, and i typically do about 20k a year so im hoping i can get a 3 solid years out of it.

Sold my e66 with 238k miles and sold my e38 with 200k and both were fantastic.

Ok I jinxed myself…. My coolant expansion tank just went to shit lol. Easy ass diy repair. Took me like 30min. Only thing that sucks with these G12 cars is everything seems to be dealer only and they love to royally bend you over for any little part 😒

I have 53k on my car and oddly enough when I purchased the car with 34k on the clock last year I had all of these items replaced at the same time luckily under warranty. Since then it has been a dream. I also stage 1 tuned it as well. It is my daily and I hope to get 2 more solid years out of it.

I just broke 41k miles on my M760xi with my tune uploaded at 30k miles (Noelle Performance tune). No issues at all except for replacing 3 bent rims.

I’ve got 72k on my 2016 750i xDrive. Literally got the car one month ago and have already had a coolant leak (repaired for $600 at indy) and currently have a washer fluid leak. Not going to worry about that one. Just got the Endurance warranty (Select Premier)…$3900 for 5yrs/75k miles.

I'm shopping Endurance too! Hows your experience with them?

I’m literally 2 days in. I found their price to be fair and like the fact that I can make monthly payments. I want to say total liability on my plan is $12,500 or so, so that could get here in a hurry.

Well hopefully you can post about it again after they compensate you for your recent claims as testimony of your experience.

The coolant leak was repaired before I got the warranty. My coverage plan isn’t exclusionary, so I doubt the leaking hose would’ve been covered and I’m almost certain the washer fluid reservoir isn’t covered either. It’s more peace of mind for the big things that could go wrong. The exclusionary plan would’ve been around $8300.

Aah Gotcha. I was quoted the Exclusionary plan which they call Supreme, for $4400. I did haggle with them and maybe because I have the 6 cyl or the lower milage (27K), that's the rate I got. Still seems like the best value (Quality vs price) so far.

Just gone over 74k miles with my 730d G11 2016 U.K. model. Besides my A/C compressor at 50k no further issues, still love the car and these Diesel engines are great. Averaging 45 to 67 mpg (U.K. gallons) motorway mostly. Safe travels everyone.

Slightly envious that I cannot get a diesel 7 Series in the US. Was the proud owner of an X5 35d that I highly regret getting rid of…

I met a chap the other evening who came to collect a couple of Goodyear Runflats I was selling. He had a 2017 740e with 208,000Km or 129,000 miles. Looked fresh and according to him has had no major issues,

740LD xDrive 5 years old (2016). I've had it 4 months now.

111k when I got it
114k miles now

I got the RAC to do an in-depth check - even oil analysis before I bought it though - it's a risk, but so far so good and I love it

Kidney grille shutters weren't working. I managed to persuade BMW U.K. to fix them for free

Will be needing new tyres and brake pads soon

740x LD - oct 2018 . Now at 48.945 miles . No issues at all.
Was so close of changing it but due to insane delivery times for new models I will keep it ...unless I find a really good 750x or 760x.

Had my rear airbags and compressor replaced but nothing else really until now. I’m dealing with a potential wastegate issue that I’m trying to fix.
