BMW dont have the brains or heart to make a mid engine sports car. They are now gonna bend over to the gaudy Chinese market and focus on electrification for the rest of the brands life.

It is interesting one report mentions it sounding different than other BMWs but it sounds exactly like the M3/M4 to me. This would indicate the P58 as mentioned earlier. Are my ears deceiving me or did anyone hear anything different?

P58? Is this a tuned/modified B58 engine?

The plug-in hybrid M5 will use the same powertrain as the upcoming X8 M, with a V8 petrol engine and e-motors totalling around 750bhp and 737lb ft of torque sent to all four wheels. |

Didn't you say the M3/M4 will have a different version of what is available currently in the X3M and alpina versions? I'm just going comparing it to the M3 and M4s in that video which sound exactly the same from my laptop's speakers

There's no engine in the rear, that part has been debunked on page 1 I think.

Looks exactly like an 8 series to me....the proportions would make it difficult for the car pictured to be mid engined. It's likely CSL or testing some future hybrid assist tech
