Display Key issues

Hi,

I picked up my 740d xdrive a few weeks ago, but I'm having trouble with the display key in that it's fully charged but appears not to be connected to the car all the vehicle status info is old and it will not unlock the car etc....

I just wondered if anyone had experience of this issue, as the car was used and bought from a non franchise dealer I didn't get the "genius" treatment on pick up.

Any pointers appreciated before I call my local BMW dealer.

Hi,

Have you seen the key work with your car, as it does need coding to the car. When my car was delivered at the end of Sep, the dealer forgot to order the display key (it is standard, but has to be ordered FOC by dealer), and they had to have my car back to program the display key.
