Full screen CarPlay?

Does anyone know how to make it full screen?

If this is the original CarPlay from BMW, you cannot make it a full screen unless you code it with an after market firmware which I don't recommend as you will experience all kind of problems and issues with the iDrive. Look for my posts on this topic to learn more about the issues that I've experienced and I had to get the dealer to reflash the car with the latest firmware and almost lost my warranty as the stupid software Locked the ECU unit, the dealer had to contact BMW Canada to unlock it and resolve the issue.

I believe with the new ID7 you can switch CarPlay between half and full screen. I saw this on a video comparison between an X7 and a Benz SUV!

There has also been quite a few of us that has done the flash mine was done by BimmerTech and have had no issues what so ever with it maybe it depends on who does it idk🤷🏼

I can also confirm I had a third party aftermarket company install CarPlay and activate full screen mode on my 2016 740i G11. No issues at all. I really enjoy using it.

I can do it as well. But for new Istep versions you need a enet cable.

What about OBDLink and Bimmercode? If not I can go buy one on amazon
