touch up
Any advise on properly applying touch up paint? Have two little spots, one on the hood and one on the rear fender so I ordered the BMW kit; saw a video that suggest slight sanding prior to application but a little reluctant to do that - anybody have some experience with that? Thanks

Unfortunately I can't give any useful advice. I tried to touch up so many times for so many years and using different ways. Functionally it would be fine, but never got a result I would consider acceptable cosmetically. I think some better than mine skills or training required to do it well.
So ended up just wrapping the front of all my vehicles with protective film. Been doing this for 7 years now, and there are no chips, no paint issues whatsoever. Loving it.

Take a look at this for scratches and chips. Chips starts at 5:20. Process works really well, and have used a few times of different cars over the years. My kit was by Mer, but products were made by Farecla. I also prefer to use wooden cocktail sticks to apply paint, as more control with a smaller point.

Some of the after-market paint touch-up
kits, such as those from Halfords in the U.K. come with a very fine syringe needle applicator which allows for a very detailed and controlled application. |

Unless you are going to take it to a competent detailer to polish our your sanding I do not suggest you do that. |
