My buddy just hooked up his bimmercode app to my 750 and unfortunately there are no performance upgrades available. There are a handful of settings to edit though. Only change I made was set the car to have the auto off function deactivated at startup.

I didn't think Bimmercode could do any performance update!? I know there are other software packages for tuning, but I thought Bimmercode was just as the name implies: (re-)coding bimmers.

Our car uses Continental MSD87.2 DME. It is not tunable via OBD but you can tune it out of the car.The problem is that the ZF transmission (6HP19Z) has torque limits to its ECU and you can not bypass this. The solution is to put two jb+ boxes, the 1st at the turbo sensor and the second to the manifold sensor. It will work...and you will have aprox 370hp... https://burgertuning.com/collections...-quick-install The one you plug to the turbo pressure is to adjust pressure, the second one is to fake the signal to DME and TCU in order to raise torque limits. There are optimal setting that increase engine prermormance. You must avoid to set extreme values to the internal rotary JB+ switch because ignition advance and fueling are also affected. This is an 100-200km/h video of my tuned car: Last edited by GTZ; 10-05-2020 at 03:04 AM.. |
