G70 Oil Change: CBS or mileage? & Plus or Minus?
My G70 760iX has 9231 miles logged. Maintenance page states next oil change at 1802 miles (or at a total of 11033 miles).
1. Is the oil change due at a 10,000 mile interval or when stated by the Condition Based system (CBS) at, in this case, at 11033 miles? *** OR *** 2. CBS states 1802 miles / June 2024. Vehicle was placed into service 5 July 2023, making June 2024 12 months. Which is it, months or mileage? BMW is paying for this oil change (already changed oils once on my own @ 5000 miles.) *** ALSO *** What is the window for BMW service? Plus or minus how many miles? Thanks much. |

Which ever comes first is what you go by. The service screen will let you know when the service is RECOMMENDED or DUE. If you call the service dept they will let you know. They may recommend setting the appoint near the estimated time you’ll reach either of the markers (miles or time)…or they may tell you to call them back when the alert pops up that the service is due.

The oil change interval is not precise and at least at my dealer they would change your oil at 10,000 mi or 12 months whichever comes first. I would make an appointment for a June change. Is there an annual safety inspection in Fla? If so that is a natural time to get it dobe.
