I do but I can’t provide it. It’s an Advanced Information document. Your foreman is well aware of it. And like I said, parts are not available yet anyways. So all they would be doing is ordering them and waiting.

No. Like I said it’s an advanced information document. There is no “numbers” attached to it. Your foreman knows exactly what I’m talking about. If you’re talking to your advisor or service manager, they likely have no idea what I’m talking about.

The dealer told me that there is information giving them by Germany about the parts that need to be changed. I will be there tomorrow and drop my car. I will share the result and details.

We had to wait three weeks for the door parts to be fulfilled. Mirror parts were already in stock. |

I had a 24 760 as a loaner and noticed the wind noise right away. However, the car is so quiet and insulated, it made me notice the wind noise. Really liked the interior, especially the seats compared to my X7

Rest is quiet like a tomb. Will have to bug dealer about this |

Took vehicle in, they drove and compared it with another i7 and said the wind noise was the same. Its annoying because even the 3 series loaner I had had way less wind/traffic noise. They said there have no information from BMW Canada and basically saying there is no problem when clearly there is. How can I get these new gaskets/seals that people in here are talking about?

I had gaskets replaced and I didn't notice any difference in wind noise. I'm thinking its coming from somewhere else and they are working on an actual fix.

I dont think the appropriate door channel trims are available yet. I’m a waiting on left and right side for a customer. Mirror triangle seal is already available but does not fix issue alone

Even though it's the BMW flagship model, there seem to be too many poor aspects. The wind noise is severe when driving on the highway... The 2019 740 didn't make such noise

There is an official SIB that was just published. First it was an advanced information document. Now it’s an actual SIB. Any dealer should be able to search it. Requires replacing the exterior door channel trim and the foam mirror seal behind the mirror housing. Window channels are not available yet in Germany. Already have 2 pieces on order for a G70.

UPDATE
Thanks to freshxdough, I contacted my dealer and they ordered parts 3 months ago. Yesterdays, parts came and they changed door trim and mirror part. I think wind noise became much better BUT it still exist... And I can feel lots of traffic noise like a window is open. My Volvo S90 has much better wind and traffic noise without laminated glass... What do you advice? |

I am picking mine up tomorrow. a 2024. Am hoping it doesn't have this issue.
The test drive I took was a 2023 and the first thing I noticed was the road noise. I thought it would be better. I have not actually driven the one I am purchasing as it still had all of the plastic on it when I bought it. they are tinting the windows today so I can pick it up tomorrow. My build sheet has something called 'Acoustic Protection'. Does anyone have experience with this or know exactly what that means? Also, for what it is worth, it is much more quiet than my i4. Thanks in advance. |
