Parking Assistance

I have owned two BMWs in the past that had a feature where they would remember the paths for parking, such as when backing into garages. These cars also had a GPS option that would activate the cameras when the car approached a saved GPS location.

However, with my new car, I've noticed that the parking feature doesn't work that well in reverse. It works fine when going forward, but when backing into my garage and saving a new path, it only recognizes the GPS spot about 20% of the time. I've saved multiple versions of parking in the garage, but the car won't pull any of them up. This leads me to believe that it might be a GPS issue. Anyone else experiencing this issue?
