Because there is a lot more to a car than its grille. My current G12 has suited me perfectly, with the right blend of power and luxury. Audi grille is worse and I have tried Audi and think they are not in BMW class. S class is only competition. I had an S500 some years ago, so it is not foreign to me and I havent ruled it out, but like my wife once said, "I'd rather be a passenger in a Mercedes but a driver in a BMW."
