Tire Recommendations
I need to buy new 20" summer performance tires for my 2018 G11. It came with Goodyear's but I don't like the ride / road noise. I'm thinking Perrelli or Michelin. Run flats of course.
What are your thoughts/ experiences with your cars? Thanks |

I have Bridgestone RF on my 20” wheels and very happy with every aspect of them. I am 6k miles in on both tyres and car and at this point would replace like for like. I have not seen any degradation in ride or noise since new (yet!).

My car came with Pirellis and (knock wood) they have been very good for 15000 miles.

Noise level good. Ride is really good. Sticks on the road.
I have 255 in front as 245 is not available in 21". Back 275. Should have gone for 285; fits the rim a bit better.

Michelin offically supports the BMW G12 21" tire's in 245 35 21 for the fronts and 275 30 21 for the rears. The fronts you can get them with Acoustic foam. Got them installed today on the 21's and ride and noise have improved quite a bit. I had the P Zero Run flats before.
Had them done in Tirerack. |

I'm currently waiting on delivery of a set of BBS CHR-II wheels with Michelin PS4S tires. I know they're going to grip better, but I'm also hoping they'll give a slightly softer ride with regard to potholes and whatnot. Hitting a pothole while riding on the stock Pirelli RFT tires feels like it could knock the fillings out of your teeth.
Now what to do if I get a flat? Keep one of the stock wheels/tires in the trunk just in case or get some kind of space saver spare? |

Non-RFT will help a bit with potholes. But better avoid them ;-)
I have a bottle with filler with me. Helps with nails eg. Potholes eg you def need a spare. Knock wood; I never had a flat tire. Had some nails but that is driveable to a garage in the area. Roads here in this part of the world are quite good with potholes eg.

I have runflats and sstill keep a BMW Mobility Kit in the trunk. Call it old fashioned. RFT tire is generally trashed after being driven on anyhow, so the tire filler is a non issue. The reason is maybe I could get more than 50 miles if I had to.
