I got my tickets! Looks like it might be a little chili at night. Highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s. And possible showers on Sunday morning.

I can't decide if I should drive up for the BMW Endurance Challenge on Friday.

BMW qualified 7th and 8th out of 9 GTLM entrants. They were .7 seconds off the pole position, so I hope this isn't a sign of what's to come in the race. Though, practice sessions have been more optimistic so maybe their long run/race pace is better than qualifying pace. They came on strong toward the end of the year so I hope they continue that form into this race.

A few buddies and I watch basically the whole 24 hours; GTLM is looking to be a riot class this year with all the qualifying times coming in so close and no BOP updates (except allowing an extra 2L for the BMW). I'm sure they were all trimmed out, but still exciting to see!

The polesitter got a huge draft off the Corvettes on his hotlap so his time is definitely a one-off. So, in reality, the cars are closer than their qualifying shows.

100% The vettes were towing big time. The difference in the times of the two vettes would be similar to what is more realistic.....and, again, I bet all of the cars won't run quite as trimmed out during the actual race. Race pace will be a little slower.

What happened to the turner Motorsports GTD car? I did not notice them at the start and I have not heard it's status yet.

Could not make the race this year, ...sigh...

I was there from about noon until 9pm yesterday. It's always a great time. The rain today really blows.

If you haven't been there, put it on your list. I'm lucky enough to live only an hour north, so I've been going for 10 years straight. I posted a pic of the Z8 on the Zanardi thread.

Meanest sounding cars there were the 911\912 Porsches in GTLM. There something about those flat sixes at full honk that just does it for me. Wicked. Very cool that they were flying Brumos throw back colors as well.

Here's one of the Turner M6.

Where did you go for this and how does the process work? Been trying to research hot lap opportunities and couldn't find anything.

The BMW CCA sold a corral and track package that included several drawings for hot laps.
