As to those commenting on the size of the grill, I was concerned initially too, but now I think it gives the car more presence compared to the previous model. Or maybe I'm just getting used to it.
As far as large executive sedans go, the B7 is quite impressive and, in my opinion, a nicer choice than the S63. I had an opportunity to drive a B7 on the track many years ago and I was amazed how well it could be driven on a track despite its weight and size. I'm more of a M3/M5/M8 kind of guy (I'm debating an M8 GC competition right now), but for similar cost this B7 is a very nice car. Enjoy it in good health!

Yes, the B5 is an AMAZING car. Very much a fast Q-ship. qdtjant and I had the pleasure to drive a M5C and the B5 last summer over a few days. The B5 is the superior car in every performance department. I really LOVED the Alpina B5. IF I had the money I'd own one.

Yep, a B5 wagon should be in the US lineup. Send your letters to BMWNA now!!

Unfortunately, the next Alpina model the US we might see is an X7 Alpina model. At least from the spy pics we've seen.

Hey Mpower10S: I had mixed feelings on the M550i. I moved to Wisconsin from California, so ordered the car from my dealer in CA. It came with summer rated tires on 21" wheels. I had the car for 2 years, no problems except for what I considered excessive tire noise. The wheels I spec'ed were factory with non run flats. I've never owned a car with so much tire noise. Not sure if that was the summer rated tires, or what. But it was pretty bad. Car had lots of power, but if I had to do it again I'd get the M5, which wasn't out yet when I bought the M550i (fall of 2017). Happy to answer any other questions.

Screens in the back, huh? That’s an optional rear seat entertainment package with all 7 series models. My 760 doesn’t have it. I didn't want the screens either.

Absolutley agree with Dackel
a dream car ! The B5 was the overall better car over the M5. It was some really nice days we spent with those two cars, loved it. 😊👍

I guess I'm the only one here who would be embarrassed walking up to that front end in a parking lot? Looks like it eats small children for breakfast with that maw.

Looking at your post history it seems like you get a kick out of leaving negative and completely subjective comments all over these forums. Here's a quick life hack for you: nobody cares about your ill-formed and unfunny opinions.

You sound like a sad and jealous troll with way too much free time on your hands. Maybe you should find a hobby, or better yet ditch the BMW and take a lonely hike over to the Merc forums and be the nonsense spewing mamaluke you were raised to be.

I am curious how did you realize the wheel got bent? I am in San Jose area (Fremont) and driving 19 B7. The Highways condition here are a bit rough. There were few times when traveling with speed around 80-100 and hit uneven spot. The impacts were hard enough to use up almost full suspension travel. The feeling was very unpleasant and made me worry about the wheel. Do you judge it by whether there is steering wheel vibration? I didn't feel abnormal vibration so far.

Hi Mitch...my front wheels literally got bent. Most were pretty slight and you have to follow the lines around the lip to see them. I've had 5 wheel repairs on the 2 front wheels and I think only 2 of those were bents that were really quite obvious from afar. Never had any bending problems on the rears. I'm familiar with Fremont and your roads are far better than NJ. I used to live in that area in the early 90s. I still visit since my sis has a 2nd home up in Fairfield and I also have a lot of friends in the Bay Area.

I was going to go CPO because I thought the prices on the '18s would fall a lot more by now so now I'm going to lease an M340i or X3 M40i. However selfishly I wish the values of used M550s would crater a bit

Thanks for the reply! I took a look and looks like my wheel are intact. I heard from a B6 owner who lives in NJ that he had 7 tire/wheel damages in 2 years. I guess the road condition here is relatively good compared to NJ......:-)

Yes, I think NYC and NJ have the worst roads in the country. We pay the highest taxes but not sure where all that money goes...surely not on our roads.

I see your NJ/NY roads and raise you Chicago roads. Riding on stock 19s and I've had 4 blown tires and a rear suspension airbag destroyed.

I've spent extensive time driving in the Tri-State area and can safely say your roads are indeed trash. Although we've got you beat by a fair amount, nobody can compare to the complete havoc of what's going on in Michigan. A couple years ago I actually caught some decent airtime going over a rift on I94 in my Merc Sprinter..
