Even saw notification for California to Hawaii for $176.
Thanks!! We could have flow RT from Louisiana to Hawaii about a month ago for $430. The RT flight for Mexico was more expensive. I'm going to check both out. We are pretty flexible so if something good like that come up and we can juggle work we will roll out.
Reading a book titled "take more vacations" by Scott's Cheap Flights and it talked about putting price first. That means being flexible. Since you have that going I would just snatch up the first cheap flight out of Louisiana.

As I was writing this reply I got notification from Secret Flying for RT flight from California to Milan, Italy for $259 for Oct-Feb.

THat's American speak though, so the real cost will be $800 with taxes, fees, mystery charges etc. Everything looks cheap in north america as the business is somehow able to advertise without taking into account it's costs.

Not sure if meant for me but I’ll address the cost on flight. Got in on a $280 RT flight on Swiss from SFO-Rome for April 2019. I typically only bring a carry-on so not an issue for me. Some of the cheapest tickets don’t allow check-in baggage and some airlines do have a limit on weight for carry-ons (Singapore, Lufthansa, Swiss all have about 18 lbs limit). Never had to pay for other charges so the cost of flight was how much I paid. Did almost 2 weeks in Rome and Amalfi Coast and our cost per person was less than $1,500 all in (there were 4 of us to divvy up rental car, hotels, and airbnb).

You say that as a joke, but I almost hit a gator crossing the road leaving my house at 5am this morning - just 40mins from Kiawah. It's been pouring so he thought he could scurry before the morning traffic starts going. Funny part was I saw a morning jogger heading right towards him - hope he made it unscathed hahaha

I got the 1st and 2nd moderna vaccination. I'm down for a booster this fall or winter if needed.

Oh! Vacation! My bad. I should really learn how to read.

I have come very close to buying a condo 3 times now. 15 years ago, last year and then again this year. We love Mariners Watch, Shipwatch and Windswept. The bike trails and beach are amazing.

Is yours in a rental program?

Our condo is in Asheville… no not in a rental program although there are some permitted for short-term rentals in the building. I wish we bought the first property we saw when we started looking there in 2015-2016 with the way property values have increased.

I’m actually about an hour and change from Asheville at the moment. Funny as I’ll be there in about five more weeks. Arrived hours ago and met up with my brother in law as he just picked up a ‘15 328i Sport Line (right) which almost matches my f36.

If you want real Nashville hot chicken, check out Farmacy. Vida is a tapas style restaurant I highly recommend. What kind of food are looking for? Tupelo honey is another great lunch spot. If you want killer burgers…Stock and barrel. You want killer tacos…Chivo Taqueria. Things to do? Depends on what your interests are. Hiking is very popular. You want to have gourmet food and bowling…check out Maple Hall.

We’re about to hop on the Orange Line trolley and maybe head down to Calhoun’s on The River for a late lunch. Patiently waiting for the trolley for the past 20 minutes.

Edit: Green Line on S. Gay st.

Dang, agency just called and Copper Canyon is "suspended" until the Mexican government decides about tourists. We are getting a refund, and looking into a cruise from Seattle to Alaska, since we all have 2 weeks off. Leisurely cruise north for a couple days, get on a boat, then fly home at the end.

Some tips on the Alaskan cruise (which is awesome by the way):

1. Book the "inside passage" cruise

2. If it's in your budget, do a seaplane tour

3. Glacier excursions are pretty cool - and small ice chunks are frequently accessible to pick up and as it melts, you can sip the water and it's like drinking purified water that is tens of thousands of years old!

4. Salmon fishing is awesome, and they can process and send you the frozen fish so it arrives at your home shortly after you do.

5. Do splurge and book a balcony cabin for the views

6. Bald eagles are like pigeons up there - they're everywhere but have a decent camera with a zoom or telephoto lens for the best pictures.
