New Member - 2018 M760i

Hi everyone, just wanted to introduce myself. New member, long time lurker. I've been in the Dodge SRT world for the past few years, but prior to that was the proud owner of a 2006 Interlagos Blue E60 M5. I LOVED that N/A V10 engine - right up until it blew up on me with 120,000 miles on the odometer.

I figured for my last ICE hurrah I'd get another memorable BMW. Kids are a little older and taller, so I figured I'd go with the 7. Plus the 740iL Clive Owen drove in The Hire still haunts my dreams!! I figured I was going to go with an Alpina B7, but I saw an M760 in person at BMW Spartansburg and was hopelessly smitten.

After several months of looking (and despairing), I finally found my car at BMW of Murrieta, CA. CPO, Singapare Grey Metallic, Black Interior. Shout out to Dave Townshend for all his help, he was fantastic. Car finally arrived today after a cross-country truck haul. Dirty as heck, but nothing a wash couldn't take care of. Only driven it to the car wash and back, but I can confirm that this V12 is as buttery smooth as advertised.

I'm excited to interact with all of you fellow 7 owners, thanks!

Welcome and lovely car - looks like it has a nice garage mate too! Interested in your views of 7 vs X7.

LOL, yes that's my wife's car. Will definitely post my views once I've had some more time behind the wheel. Thank you!

I second this. I was looking hard at X7s prior to my 750i. It was going to be my first large SUV and I didn't know if I could live with it day to day, but now I'm thinking a 3rd row may be my next move in a few years (I didn't take into account that 4 seats are plenty for our family, but taking our daughter's friends / cousins make transportation a bit harder).

If it truly is a lifted 7 series as many inferred, I'd love to hear the opinion of someone who lives with it day to day.
