Shadowline Trim Stains / Damage :(

My car was at the dealer for service for an extended period of time.

Sadly, it was returned with the following damage to the shadowline trim around the windows (driver’s side only).

Seems to be stained in some way, but doesn’t wash off!

Dealer tried to clean/fix(?), but no change.

Anyone ever seen anything like this before? What might I be able to try to get these stains out?

I’m meticulous and this is impossible for me to get past.

Very upset.

Many thanks.

I'd imagine if they had it and caused it, they should replace if they can't fix.

Looks like hard water stains in the pics but hard to tell. I'd take it to a detailer and have them buff and polish it. I've seen some magic happen on black trim with similar blemishes.

Will look into what you suggest. I think I may have a detail shop in mind.

Otherwise, yes, I will be returning, and take it up with GM need be. :|

Thanks again, I appreciate it!
