Do I need a front lip

Hi all,
I put these alpina rims on my car a couple months ago. I absolutely love how these rims look on the car. Just out of curiosity, how many of u feel it's necessary to add the front lip?

Yup, imo it's a must on the stock 7 series front bumper, it really transform the front end plus it makes the car look lower.

As mentioned in the previous thread, you will need to cut the front bumper for the Alpina lip to fit properly so once it's on, it's on for good.

Yeah, I had reservations about cutting the bumper, because there is no turning back. I am then forced to keep the wheels on as long as I have the car. I may go ahead and add the alpina bumper and even rear spoiler at that point

You won't regret it, I was going to get the m sport bumper but I went with the Alpina and I love the look.

Where is the best place to buy it? That website in Germany you posted?

Do you mind posting couple more pics of your ride?

I wouldn't trust Ebay as far as I can throw it and beware of cheap Alpina replicas that don't fit properly.

Can you post the link to the one you saw. I'm just about ready myself to pull the trigger on the same lip.

from what it seems in the listing, it looks like you just stick it on?

It's cheaper to order from here;

http://www.schmiedmann.com/4100863/p...uctnumber.aspx

And here's what you get in the kit:

Picture of my car with the lip:

So as for the install, I had it done by my local dealer so I'm not sure what they had to cut and it's not recommended that you use just the 3m tape, you should use adhesive glue (sold separately) and the brackets that are included with the kit. Here's some install pictures my dealer sent:

I'm sold on this and will be ordering next week. Thanks again brother for posting the pics. I will have my body guy shave down the alpina badge on the front of the lip before paint. It can't stand it.

Brother, this is twice the price of the one from Germany. I'm ordering from Schmeidman!
