Bimmerfest West is in the spring while Bimmerfest East is typically mid to late Summer. Perhaps that's what confused you.

My fault - I got it backward (post now updated).

Its too bad they canceled the East event. But at any rate, the OP was probably thinking of the event on the opposite side of the country with his "Could've sworn it was in the Fall" remark.

Yeah, I didn't think there was one for East and West Coast. I don't live too far from the Fontana Speedway, so I figure why not go, maybe see some cool BMW's

Prob worth it if you're nearby, they have track events now which they didn't used to.

I haven't been since Santa Barbara was abandoned years ago. The best part was the caravan up from San Diego and Bimmers completely taking over the streets of Santa Barbara down State Street and near the dealership. Good times.

I’ve gone every year since I could remember...
Worth checking out at least once. It’s cheap entry and usually the swag makes up for it anyway.

A lot of nice cars and if you go with friends, even better.
You have to do the hot lap with a BMW instructor. It’s a blast. Get there early as the slots fill up quickly.

If you’re not from the area, hotels might be sold out close by the event but worth a shot. Obviously a lot of good eats close by and don’t drive like a hoonigan and the popo won’t give you a hard time, typically.

Im busy on that Saturday, but do you think it would still be worth going to on Sunday? Only half-day though

Sunday the swag bags are more full because the vendors don't want to have to return with stuff. Saturday they put like one item of each in the bags, Sunday they're just grabbing handfulls to put in there.

I’ve found that Sunday the good swag is gone. A lot of the vendors start packing up early Sunday. Crowds are thinner. I think a majority of people go on Saturday only.

It’s not like Disneyland where you need a week to hit all the rides and attractions. Unless you’re participating in the track event or autox, you’ll need less than a whole day to see it all, take pictures and stuff.

Stay toward the end... the crowd likes to egg the drivers leaving the lot to rev engines and do burnouts.

It's worth going. There will be a few caravans going there on Saturday.

In 2016 there was a meet around SoCal the night before (at California Burgers in Montebello to be exact). Is anyone planning one again?

Check out the California section. Got a couple of caravans for both Saturday and Sunday.

I might be going just to check out some vendors stuff and take some pics. Haven't gone to Bimmerfest since it was at the Rosebowl

They should bring it back to the rose bowl most folks are coming from here and going there. Must be that Fontana is cheaper to rent and also has a racetrack.
