Highest mileage G11/G12
I wanted to start a thread to see how many miles people have put on their 7s and what major repairs they have done.
I have a 2016 750i M sport with 58,300. Had the turbo coolant leak at 58,000 |

The A/C compressor was leaking and replaced under warranty at 50k but otherwise no issues. |

Currently on 19.2k miles Both laser lights replaced under warranty @14k miles due to moisture creating water droplets Drivers seat base cushion replaced under warranty due to failure @16k miles. I wouldn't mind but I'm only 15 stone (95kg) so not my ass that broke it. ![]() |

More importanly, how does it look when the dealer changed it? Since they only change the leather cover/cusion causing the problem, they have to take the seat apart and manually wrestle with the foam qnd the leather cover and I yet have to see them doing a good job.

2016 750i xDrive. 70,250 miles. No issues whatsoever.
Customer Care Package was done at 50k. I purchased car CPO with 54k in August 2019. Oddly enough I knew the former owner. He had no issues whatsoever either. |

Had a turbo replaced and the thermostat. Also two of the rims got stress cracks. Apparently its a known flaw in the odd number sized rims so I replaced all 4 with 20 inch. She is running smooth now.

Not mine, but that's probably the most miles I've seen on a G12.

BMW 740d G11
I just pass 42.020 km and absolutely nothing to report, except ...
BTW - In my opinion, the recommended oil and filter service every 30k is a murder for the engine and I absolutely do not agree with these recommendations, lifetime transmission oil and maintenance-free as well. (it will be done in the future for 100%) I know that after the inspection in BMW the brake pads wear is

I told them to go screw themselves as I have been a loyal customer, had bought multiple other bmws including an older 7 series. They made me call bmw of NA and file a complaint. After some hassling they came back at me with a quote of 2100. I told them to shove it again and ended up getting it done at an Indy for 1500. The whole experience has left a bad impression of bmw on me as they still insist on placing plastic and rubber parts in their engines which They know fail eventually, sometimes as early as 30-40k miles according to some other members. After I get rid of my current 7 I don't think I will get another 7 series for quite some time. |
