Will do. Don't know when I'm going to crack it open though. I kind of want to wait for a special occasion. Or...maybe I'll just get thirsty enough one of these days.

A couple of my buddies agreed to bottle share some of our winnings. I traded half my OFBB for half of his George T Stagg win this year.

Where the heck are these raffles? Thats some nice swag!

So - glad I bought 2 bottles of Blantons when it was in store here, just wish I would have bought more. I had a brain fart and forgot about the rarity and the letters, now I want to spell it out (especially after cracking one open and tasting it last night) and they sold out of all bottles in less than a day.

Guess I never did upload a pic here

I would have bought at least 6 bottles. Maybe next time, if there is one.
I’ve never seen that many bottles in a store, wow.

Supporting a local distillery tonight. Pretty smooth with a subtle maple flavor.

I got a maple crown...found it good for glazing the ham. Hopefully the maple in yours isn't as `in your face` when you drink it. Cool you support local makers

Outside of that...I thought bourbon had to be made in Kentucky and everything else should be labeled whiskey?

From Wiki:
Quote:
Although bourbon may be made anywhere in the United States, it is strongly associated with the American South and with Kentucky in particular.

Definitely not in your face. I really only get a note of maple and a little sweetness at the finish. According to the description, they use old bourbon barrels to age maple syrup in, and then reuse those barrels with bourbon for a maple finish. I think Crown Royal blends in maple flavor instead of aging, giving it more of a maple syrup quality.

Sounds like my "hooch" bottle. It began life as a maple syrup bottle, then I poured in the White Dog in a mostly failed attempt to make it drinkable.

Had some Ardbeg An Oa a few nights ago, pretty good, smells dry, but decent taste. I'll be back into in on the weekend.
