Couple of quick personal observations:

1) This situation goes to show the level of stress/anger **lying just under the surface** so many people carry around these days.

2) Regardless of the cause of the scene, the driver of the 7er does nothing but solidify the stereotype of the "average BMW owner".

Come on, man. We're known for not using our blinkers. Not smashing into other cars in fits of furious anger

Naaww maaan. Its just another day dude. Traction control is off, door open to get a hit of that sweet, sweet tire smoke… good tiiiimmes.

Being from LA, the primary profile of 7 series drivers tend to be males 35-50, usually smoke in their cars, and think they're in the mafia.

The only thing that's kept me from getting a 7 series as a DD is the fact that most parking spaces are wayyyyyy too small.

I can't imagine trying to park one of those things on the street in LA where parking lots are few and far between, or trying to get around in the Hills. Yikes.

Honestly, I can see how drivers could be pushed to this point (especially in CA). The amount of "deuchbaggery" that I see here from other drivers is insane. The people feel some sense of entitlement, as if protected from some higher order power. I say take those same people out of the car, cancel their insurance policies and then see what kind of person they become when they realize that nothing is there to protect them anymore. Maybe then they will respect their fellow man/woman.

I go out of my way to be a courteous driver, with the hope that it would be reciprocated by others and then that courtesy will become infectious.

Why in the name of god did you write up a fictional account of this incident?

People are losing their minds everywhere! LA is a bunch of a-holes that aren't from LA, so you get all kinds of driving styles from everywhere... everyone is checked out on their phones... infrastructure sucks badly... I'm not salty... only been driving in it for 15 years...

Years ago a vehicle in front of me rear ended the vehicle in front of it and then drove off. I just followed the driver, relaying our location and the make/plate # of the vehicle. Local LEO's apprehended the driver in less than 5 minutes after the accident.

This 7-series owner should've considered the same.

Easy when it's your mommies car. I'm sure he'll get a hand slap and probation. Mommy and Daddy will buy the baby another WHIP so he can cruise.
